Part 2: Behind The Curtain – How We Co-Coach In The Scalable Freedom Mastermind Without Clashing
We’re back for Part 2 of my conversation with Nivek Harrison, our incredible online business manager and longtime co-coach here at Swift Ventures. If you haven’t already caught Part 1 of this conversation, make sure you go back and have a listen because there was some absolute gold in there. If you’ve been thinking about bringing a co-coach into your business or wondering how the dynamics actually play out behind the scenes, both of these episodes are going to provide some amazing insight.
In this second half of the conversation, Niv and I continue to discuss what co-coaching looks like day to day at Swift Ventures, Niv shares some broader thoughts on AI integration and building trust within the team. We also discover a few more insights into Niv’s daily rituals as a co-coach and how she manages her energy in the throws of a busy schedule.
Humans First, Even in the Age of AI
AI is everywhere now, and yes, we use it to help with the basics but there’s no tool on earth that can replace the nuanced, empathetic support of a human co-coach. Our clients use large language models for help with smaller issues, which means when they come to us, it’s for the strategic, complex, and deeply personal things. We’re always transparent about how we weave AI into our systems, but the real value comes from the trust, rapport, and ongoing conversations both Niv and I have with every client. AI can’t replace that.
Trust, Ownership, and Honest Conversation
Trust is the foundation of everything we do. Niv and I talk openly about the big picture vision, the daily wins and struggles and everything in between. I call Swift Ventures “our business” because I want that sense of ownership and investment. This isn’t about just handing off tasks—it’s about building a culture where both of us feel safe, valued and empowered to show up as ourselves.
We both agree that your co-coach needs to be invested and care about the business as much as you do. You need someone who is all in and therefore, they need to be given the trust and autonomy to be their best self in the business.
Rituals, Boundaries, and Real Life
Both Niv and I have built rituals and boundaries that respect and protect our energy so when we show up for clients, we’re showing up recharged. Niv shares how she manages Slack notifications so she’s not constantly “on” and debriefs after coaching calls to have a sense of closure after each client. The beauty of the mastermind model is its flexibility—whether it’s parenting, travel, or just needing space, having this model in our business means we adapt as need be, even if that means sending a voice note in the car.
Leading Together, Learning Always
Let’s be honest: with AI technology advancing so quickly, you can’t be five steps ahead of your clients anymore. Now, it’s about circular leadership—learning alongside our clients and bringing people onto the team who have specific strengths. It’s not about having to know everything; it’s about building trust, being responsive, strategic, and genuinely invested in every client’s journey.
In the same way, the mutual trust and respect that Niv and I share is what makes our co-coaching relationship work so well. We genuinely lean on each other, look to each other for guidance and complement each other in the most beneficial way.
If you’re thinking about bringing a co-coach into your business, or you’re already working with one, remember: everything comes back to trust and communication. Co-coaching at Swift Ventures has made our business stronger, our client experience richer and the journey a whole lot more fun and rewarding.
